This hotel has rooms with a Nile view,. It was amazing to look out our window and see the Nile River among lots of building and skyscrapers. Not what we expected. I always pictured the Nile as having the desert on its banks, which it does in some areas. Just never thought of it going thru the middle of a city.
The breakfast buffet rewarded us with an incredible selection of food as well as a potpourri of the world, with people from everywhere. I also found out how women with full veils had their meals outside of their homes, The veils come off.

Cairo has so much to offer.
Could move into the Cairo Museum for a week.
The Gayer Anderson house is fascinating, especially the screens that allowed women to watch the events they were not allowed to attent.
The sound of the call to prayer, the Khan el Kahlili market, the Citadel and mosque nearby.
